Leather Biker Jacket

Here I am out of my comfort zone again and breaking my own rules … again!  There are a lot of things going on here, so let’s look at them one at a time and then as a whole, starting from the top.

I love my RayBan aviators and there isn’t much to be said about that.  I like sticking to classics and these are reflective blue so they really stand out, especially when paired with other blue items.  But the real hero of the head shot here is that bright red lipstick.  If you know me, you might have noticed that I hardly ever wear lipstick and when I do, it’s usually a neutral.  I’ve always loved bright red lips on other people but never liked them on me.  I thought I looked like a little girl playing dress up with her mother’s lipstick. (In fact, bright red has been a signature lipstick color for my mom ever since I can remember.) So I don’t know if I’ve matured enough (read: got old, haha) or I finally found the right shade of lipstick but I feel like I pulled it off this time.  I hope you’re not reading this, laughing hysterically and saying to yourself, no you didn’t! The lipstick is Revlon Super Lustrous, Love is On.

Moving on to the top and jacket – courtesy of my favorite store, Target of course!  I like making unexpected pairings – feminine lace and edgy biker leather (not really, faux leather!)  And here’s where I broke my own rule, yet again.  I have said before that I am anti faux leather, however I couldn’t pass up this jacket.  It has the absolute perfect cut and I love everything about it (especially the price) but if anybody can point me in the direction of a real leather jacket, identical to this one in design, I will be all over that! For now, this will have to do!

I don’t have a logical explanation for the boot cut jeans.  I know they are not all the rage right now and the outfit would have been perfectly fine with skinny jeans but something compelled me to go with this classic leg opening.  The long hem called for a high heel and the Rockstud dupes answered.  See them styled in another way here.

And here is outfit in its entirety – a little bit of lace, a little bit of rock’n’roll!

My wrap bracelets are from Boho Betty USA.  Now is a great time to shop – they have been running daily pre-holiday flash sales!  For any items not on sale, use STEFANA20 to get 20% off.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving week! A word of advice from me – wear a high waist belt or tie one under your top so you know when you’re full and should stop eating.  Then, you can undo your belt and proceed to dessert!
