Today’s look was inspired by the pajama top trend as well as by my “other job.” In addition to being a full time stay at home mom and a part time fashion blogger, I am a registered interpreter for the court system in my state (I speak Bulgarian). The assignments I get are not very frequent but I love the opportunity to switch from my casual daily uniform to courtroom appropriate attire.
Today’s outfit is not exactly what I would wear to court. The top and accessories have an urban chic vibe to them. Those would not be entirely appropriate in a setting that calls for a more traditional and conservative outfit. However the pants and shoes are examples of classic pieces that are both appropriate and current with their updated silhouette. Suede pointed toe, d’Orsay style pumps and slim ankle cut pants are all elements of a modern day business look as opposed to the more outdated wide leg slacks and round toe shoes.
I’ve been eyeing the pajama top trend for a while now and finally decided to jump on it. Lucky for me I not only scored this top on sale but also got it before it completely sold out. I’m of course bummed that I can’t link it for you directly but I have found some similar ones.
Here’s also what to look for when shopping for a pajama top to wear in daytime:
Pair it with skinny jeans or pants and add high heels for a polished and classy look.
