Wide pant legs and a lot of denim. But it is also a cute and feminine piece of clothing with a smart and flattering design. I’ve been talking a lot about high waisted jeans lately. This palazzo denim jumpsuit takes high waist to a new level – all the way to the armpits!
Jumpsuits have been around for a few years now. Mostly in their short summery form. I have always been a fan of jumpsuits although I haven’t been able to find many that would fit my long torso frame (massive wedgie, anyone?) Not to mention that the inseam of the shorts is usually so short, there’s no way I can pull it off. But I love them when they come with long pant legs!
When I saw this palazzo denim jumpsuit, I just fell in love. There’s something nostalgic and cozy about it. Especially when paired with a turtleneck. It has an undeniable 70’s vibe.
The straps are adjustable on the back and there are three settings. Of course, I had to put mine on the longest setting (that long torso thing again!) That makes the pants really long which necessitates high heels. It is also a multi seasonal piece – it is made to also be worn on its own, not just over a shirt.
The palazzo pant is what gives this denim jumpsuit its retro vibe. Unlike bell bottoms that flare out from the knee, this style widens from the hips. I find that to be a more flattering silhouette. It also makes it look more current and less costume like.
I would love to play around with the tie belt and replace it with a chunky leather belt or even with a colorful silk scarf.
And if I may, I’d like to bring your attention to the stitching on the lower back as well as the smart back pocket placement! The result is an enhanced feminine shape that flatters every body type!
