I always get excited at the end of a season because I love change. So at the end of summer I’m already tired of my summer clothes and I look forward to boots and sweater weather.
But I have to admit that now that we’re in it, I feel a little blah about wearing sweaters. They’re like a necessary evil – they keep you warm but they tend to be bulky, frumpy and overall not stylish. That’s why I always look for sweaters that have a bit of interesting detail about them – maybe lace trim, or cutouts, or an off the shoulder option.
I think in it’s essence this outfit is very simple and basic – jeans, boots and a sweater. But the bare shoulders give it that extra visual interest. Blah no more!
I also love the uneven hem on this sweater – it adds another dimension to the feminine factor and covers the bum – great to wear with leggings!
And of course I had to pair it with my new favorite OTK boots. I love to use the camel color in a more casual every day setting. The black OTK boots are just a tad bit more formal. Hence I needed both colors. (Hear that, hubs?!)
I have to mention again my new obsession – the wrap bracelets from Boho Betty. Especially since they were so beautifully highlighted by the maroon color of the sweater.
